Based on Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2003, the Goals and Functions of National Education function to develop abilities and shape the character and civilization of a dignified nation in order to make the nation's life more intelligent, aiming to develop the potential of students to become human beings who believe and are devoted to God Almighty. Esa, noble character, healthy, knowledgeable, capable, creative, independent, and a democratic and responsible citizen (Pelawi et al., 2021). To realize the formation of skills that students must have, it is also strengthened by the Strengthening Character Education program in Formal Education Units. Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2018 concerning Strengthening Character Education in Formal Education Units explains that Strengthening Character Education is carried out by applying Pancasila values in character education, especially those which include religious values, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity. , independent, democratic, curious, national spirit, love of the country, appreciates achievements, communicative, loves peace, likes reading, cares about the environment, cares socially, and is responsible. One of the important values in character education is caring for the environment (cultural environment).
